Join Fair Trade Boston on SATURDAY, OCTOBER 15th from 9:30 AM – 2 PM at MIT to examine Fair Trade from a variety of perspectives. This symposium is designed to engage individuals who are new to the issue of Fair Trade and those who have been long-time activists about this issue. Highlights from the day include:
- Q&A with two Fair Trade coffee farmers
- A workshop about the connection between Fair Trade and the local food movement
- A panel presentation from a national chain and a local café on how Fair Trade is a critical part of their different business models
- Discussion about the future of the Fair Trade movement
- Practical resources for integrating Fair Trade into your school, business or place of worship
